Week Three: Draw Pilgrim!

Monday – Wednesday – Friday

  • Always verify that your firearm is completely unloaded. Avoid handling ammunition and keep it at a safe distance while dry firing. Make it a priority to learn and strictly adhere to essential shooting safety rules. Your safety and the safety of those around you depend on it.
  • While this is for a 30-minute dry fire session, use my G341 method to adjust it according to your schedule in 15-minute increments.
  • Stretch the forearms, neck, shoulders, and legs for 1-2 minutes to improve body movement.
  • Incorporate last week’s training regarding grip, trigger, and sights alignment/dot acquisition.

Equipment

  • Holster
  • Handgun

without unholstering it.
4. At the same time, move your support hand
to the top of your abdomen.
5. Repeat three times
6. Perform a complete draw (it does not have to be fast) on the 4th repetition and hold your aim for 10 seconds.

Tuesday – Thursday – Saturday

Repeat the same drills, but instead of using your “preferred hand position,” use a different one. The following examples should allow you to draw and hold your firearm with both hands:

  • Surrender position (Hands above shoulders).
  • Hands clasped over the head.
  • Holding something with both hands.
  • Imagine holding someone’s hand while your other hand is free.
  • Both hands are on chest level.
  • Holding the door handle as if you were going to open the door.
  • Arms crossed.
  • Hands on a lower surface, simulating you are looking for something.

IMPORTANT: I am sharing my training plan. I am not giving a shooting class.
